Hannes Genze wins Birkbeiner marathon

Marathon specialist Hannes Gänze wins the prestigious Birkebeiner marathon in Norway.

The Multivan-Merida athlete dominates the race from the beginning on and beats among others marathon world champion Alban Lakata. The Birkebeiner marathon, which is with over 17'000 participants the world largest marathon event, was already won by a Multivan Merida member last year. Swiss Andreas Kugler was the strongest athlete, followed by Hannes Genze on place three.

The Multivan Merida Biking Team is now in a comfortable lead in the marathon overall worldranking. With the win of the overall worldcup ranking in cross country, the team proved impressively how strong it is over a complete season in several disciplines.
